Company profile [Home]
ZHinstruments,
founded in 1992, designs and manufactures specialised
equipment for the measurement of magnetic susceptibility of rocks.
The company is based in Brno, Czech Republic and is owned and operated by
Dipl. Ing. Zdenek Hulka, Ph.D. He has more than 30 years experience of the design
and building sophisticated hardware and software systems in the
geophysical field.
The list of his essential research goals is devoted to the design of
geophysical - mainly rockmagnetic - instruments as follows:
- 1974: Spinner Magnetometer JR-4 (Geofyzika Brno, Czechoslovakia)
- 1976: Portable Kappameter KT-4 first model with digital
signal processing (patented), sensitivity 1 x 10-5 SI units
- (Geofyzika Brno, Czechoslovakia)
- 1979: Portable Kappameter KT-M sensitivity 1 x 10-5
SI units - (Geofyzika Brno, Czechoslovakia)
- 1982: Proton Magnetometer PM-1 new signal processing,
additive white noise suppression when measuring the frequency of a weak
fading sinusoidal signal - (Geofyzika Brno, Czechoslovakia)
- 1992: Resistar RS1000M / Multicable ME1000
(designed for Geofyzika Brno, Czech Republic)
- 1997: Pocket Size
Magnetic Susceptibility Meter SM-20
- sensitivity 1 x 10-6 SI uinits
- 1998: Pocket Size
Magnetic Susceptibility Meter SM-30
- sensitivity 1 x 10-7 SI uinits
- 1999 - 2002: Participation in the EU project MAGPROX
- the design of SM-400, the soil susceptibility meter for in situ measurement
- 2007: Magnetic Susceptibility Meter SM-100
for magnetic susceptibility measurement of rock samples or fragments
using measuring coil with homogeneous field. The sensor is being
designed to allow operating frequency and field intensity to set
in several steps (switchable frequencies and strength of the field).
- 2007: Magnetic Susceptibility Meter SM-105
for magnetic susceptibility measurement of rock samples or fragments
using measuring coil with homogeneous field. The sensor is being
designed to allow operating frequency and field intensity to set
in several steps (switchable frequencies and strength of the field).
